Sportflex Super X Maintenance Procedure

Indoor Installation

  1. Mondo Sportflex and Super X require periodical maintenance, the frequency of which will depend on the volume of foot traffic.
  2. The adoption of a regular program, following the procedures outlined below will ensure a more than adequate appearance level while obtaining the maximum use of the flooring.
  3. It is recommended that once the floor is installed, the finished floor should be swept clean of all debris and the initial wash be done approximately 48 hours after completion of the installation.
  4. To avoid possible damage to the flooring, precautions should be taken in order to ensure that the following products and equipment are never used to maintain it. They are:
    1. STEEL WOOL OR ABRASIVE BRUSHES.
    2. COTTON MOPS (LEAVE LINT BEHIND)
    3. ABRASIVE OR VERY ALCALINE CLEANERS.
    4. SOLVENTS OF ANY TYPE.
  5. The frequency that one must clean the flooring will depend on the intensity of foot traffic, and the type of installation involved and the size of the area covered.
  6. For heavy traffic areas, where the floor gets very dirty or soiled, the use of a detergent or cleaner will be necessary. Note: This detergent must be of a mild non-phosphate type with a neutral pH such as Taski Profi from Diversey-Lever. The procedure and equipment to be used will be as follows:
    1. Prior to washing, vacuum all debris and loose dirt from the floor. Then , wash the floor with the above detergent diluted in warm water at a ratio recommended by the manufacturer.
    2. Rinse the floor thoroughly with clean fresh water. Repeat rinsing as required to remove all residue. Note: The appearance of a white film following washing and rinsing is an indication that the rinsing procedure was not adequate, in such cases, repeat the rinsing procedure until the residue has been removed.

Outdoor Installation

  1. Even though an outdoor installation requires less maintenance, it is up most important to have a maintenance schedule.
  2. Sweeping or vacuuming the surface occasionally can be done with a mechanical machinery.
  3. Maintenance frequency will depend on the volume of foot traffic.
  4. A thorough washing is recommended at least once a year.
  5. To clean properly, a high pressure water system is normally suitable. An auto-scrubber with soft nylon brushes can also be used.
  6. The use of a detergent is not necessary, but if it is needed, make sure that it is a neutral pH detergent.
