Mondo Rubber Floor Maintenance Recommendations

Wood Maintenance
Your maple wood floor will never be as beautiful as the moment the floor finisher completes his last coat of polyurethane. That is the nature of the product. Once people begin to walk on the surface, the action of their feet, rubbing against the polyurethane, actually starts to slowly "sand" the finish and make it dull. Within several months from the last coating of the floor, you will begin to notice that it is not as shiny as it was before. That is the bad news.

The good news is that by using proper maintenance techniques, your floor can look beautiful all year long.

You put polyurethane on the floor for basically three reasons:
  1. To keep the floor aesthetically pleasing- to keep it beautiful.
  2. To protect the wood itself.
  3. To protect users from injury.

Although the most important reasons to coat your floor is for the protection of the wood and the safety of the users, it is the appearance of the floor that gets the most attention. So, if you want to keep the users and spectators happy and safe, maintain the floor properly.
